Celebrating New Beginnings at Cannon Beach - Christie & Jon Maternity

I recently had an extra special maternity session with my dear friends, Christie and Jon. I have known them since college, and it has been a joy to capture their life's moments, from their graduation to family events. Now, I had the honor of documenting the exciting journey as they await their daughter, Kaiya.

We chose Cannon Beach for our session. It was the perfect setting with its beautiful scenery and relaxed vibe. The atmosphere was casual. We walked together along the shore, sharing stories and laughs. The sound of the waves added to the calmness of the day.

A few seagulls decided to join us, hoping to snatch our snacks. Jon and I found ourselves running and squawking to chase them away. It was a funny moment that made us all laugh. I love capturing these unposed moments. They show real life, the joy of friends, and the excitement of the new journey ahead.

After our session, we enjoyed dinner at a local brewery. It felt good to share great food and conversation after a fun day. These intimate moments matter the most. They remind us of the bonds we share and the memories we create together.

Every photograph tells a story. I’m grateful to capture these stories for Christie and Jon. I look forward to their new chapter as parents. It’s days like these that remind me why I cherish the art of photography.
