Sunrise Rattlesnake Ridge Couples Session - Jesse & Lori

I love when sessions start and end with cuddles and that is exactly how Jesse and Lori’s couple session went. This sunrise couples session at Rattlesnake Lake had a 3 am wake-up call and it was 100% worth it. Rattlesnake Lake is a very popular location for photography and I find the best way to beat the crowds is to wake up before them!

When we arrived we parked outside the main gate to the park and made a short walk to the lake and we were greeted with the best views. We were completely alone at the lake and shared coffee and pastries from my favorite bakery as the sky turned to a lighter and lighter blue. Rattlesnake ridge peaked through the clouds and fog for the first part of the shoot and the lake was silent and still. As the sun rose the fog drifted across the lake and gave us ever-changing views.

Rattlesnake lake is truly magical at this time and getting to experience sunrise at the lake with Jesse and Lori was something truly magical. I highly recommend setting that alarm clock and making the trip up to Rattlesnake Lake to catch the sunrise. It’s the best!
